4. How Much Should I Pay a "VA?"

Our recommendation would be to pay them on a per order basis. The total amount you pay them depends on many factors, such as; if you are the broker or your broker doesn't take a cut of your BPO income, how much you are getting paid by the company to do the BPO, your cost of doing business, if you have more staff to help you do things like take photos for your BPO orders, etc.

Watch out to not pay too much or too little. Take care of the people who are helping take care of you. Keep an eye out for your bottom line so as to not undercut yourself so that you can continue to get help with the things that you don't want to do.

2. What can a Local Assistant help me with?

A local 'Unlicensed' Assistant can help you with almost everything...other than pulling the comps or giving the final value on your BPO and REO forms. However, hiring a local 'Licensed Assistant' means training them to pull comps correctly so that you can get help doing this part (Keep in mind that almost all BPO and REO companies don't want for you to use any outside help). You will still need to sign off on each order and put in the final value.
